Vaune has been a client for over a year! She was very active with plenty of cardio activities like hiking, rock climbing and pickleball. She mentioned that she would like to try strength training because of the risks of osteoporosis and muscle loss.

Her biggest doubts were how committed she would be to the online workouts, would she be bored and did she have enough equipment at home. This is what Vaune has to say about the program:

I absolutely love my body! I have the most toned thighs that I’ve ever had in my entire life. I wore a two-piece bathing suit to my Beach vacation because I have no fat around the middle. Like my first two piece bathing suit and I’m 62 years old. My core muscles are so solid it’s improved all my activities. But I have definitely upped my rock climbing because of that core and upper back muscles. I’m Healthier Stronger Happier because of these workouts. The cost of her training included a new wardrobe!!

Also just her knowledge of dealing with injuries. Something that I dealt with over the year that I’ve been with Brenda. Some problems with the knee due to arthritis, and some major issues with the shoulder. With Brenda’s help I cannot believe how functional that knee is, how strong it is. And I thought the shoulder was never going to get better, Brenda gave me exercises to do. She confidently said I want to fix your shoulder. And it has been a completely different situation the last few months. I find her knowledge on all things to do with strengthening the body so amazing. I believe in her 100%”

“I am a 52 year old female venturing on yet another weight loss journey when I was introduced to Brenda as a personal trainer. My doctor had encouraged not only weight loss but stressed the importance of building muscle in the process. Although I was already fairly active, I was overweight and I had rarely focused on strength training in my routine. I wasn’t sure where to begin. I have never used an online personal trainer before, it was new to me. But I saw a friend, whoโ€™s my โ€œheroโ€ when it comes to fitness, and she was using Brendaโ€™s program with good results, so I decided to give it a try.

My goals were twofold: to build muscle strength alongside my regular cardio routine, because I knew how important this was at my age. I also was hoping to improve my hiking, while no stranger to outdoor activities, I felt my ascents up those mountains were a bit of a struggle.

I have trained with Brenda for a little over 12 weeks and have learned so much. I have kept my weekly phone calls with her and have learned how to lift the appropriate amount of weight, proper nutrition, including increased protein and fiber, for fueling those hikes and why I should incorporate other types of training.

I was as shocked as anyone to see how much power my golf swing has this season and how much better climbing to new heights has been. I have even had others compliment me on my body composition changes!

There’s no stopping now. I’m extending my training with Brenda for another 12 weeks. There’s still so much to learn, and her expertise in training women over 50 is a huge plus. The best part? Brenda’s program delivered benefits I didn’t even know I needed.

A couple years ago I had left knee replacement surgery, one of the most painful surgeries I've ever had. A few days out of the hospital Brenda traveled to my home to help me. All I wanted to do was sit in my chair and complain about the pain. I had no desire or interest in moving or exercising. She very slowly and compassionately showed me some stretches I could do to start me moving again. With her encouragement and motivation I started doing those stretches and exercises and found every day was a little better. It's been a long road back but I now ride my stationary bike, I walk my pups almost every day, and I work in my back yard constantly...things I used to take for granted. I can't thank this kind, knowledgeable, inspirational, and fun woman enough for making me care about my good health. She's awesome!

You did the work! It hurt but, YOU pushed through so you could continue to do the things you enjoy the most!! I'm so proud of you!.

Great Training
